The bulletin for what needs to be completed will be posted here, along with the option to discuss the project with other members of the team.
The tasks listed here are background tasks that are important to they background of the project.
The product of these tasks may not necessarily be judged or graded during the competition, but they remain important as they provide the basis to which the project must base itself on.
We're theming this year's project on Tetris.
Decide upon a background story our project will use.
We have to create a kiosk, a film, a website, and robot. Previous years have shown that oftentimes all of these are united through a story in which all of the aforementioned elements are manifested.
Ensure that we have enough members to fill in all elements of the project.
Now, this may not necessarily be possible, but we are going to need to make sure that there's at least always some group of people working on each part of the project.
Set up a social network or forums in which all members are able to communicate with.
It's good to be able to have a place where ideas can be quickly shared and recorded.
Also, plainly, in the last several years, there hasn't been much communication outside of the meetings of the club.
It would be much more efficient if members were to be more active outside of these meetings.
The tasks listed here are the main tasks to be completed and presented during the competition.
The product of these tasks will be judged and graded during the competition.
- Begin work on universal components of the robot.
E.g. Planning
Currently Pending CRC Instructions...
At the moment, CRC has not released information on what the task the robot is to complete this year will require.
Only a clue: 'Pythagoras'.
Because of this, the team will not be building a robot until late October.
However, it would be good to be able to get some head start progress.
1. Gather members that would be willing to partake in the film.
2. Begin scripting the film.
3. Make preparations of the film.
4. Film the film.
5. Add them visual effects.
6. Revise the film.
At the moment, we've not set up a group of individuals who will be working on the film component of the project. This will have to be discussed with School Monitors at some point in the future.
Handled by Art Team?
I do believe that the art team, from last year, will continue working on the Kiosk for this year. I'm going to have to talk to them about what they are planning on doing.
- Set up a communicative network for members to use for the project.
- Document the project's progress and make entries into the Project Diary
- Continue fixing up the website
q.q I'm the only one working on the website...
No that I mind, really. It's not that much work, but I there will definitely be a lot of changes in the future to enhance the theme aspect of this project.
There are no forums available on the website at this time. Please try again later.
If you'd like to get into contact with the rest of the group, two means are currently available; our Facebook and Edmodo Pages.
Our Facebook group can only be joined via invitation or open periods, and our Edmodo group can only be joined by a code.
Generally, you should be able to enter through assistance during a club meeting. Should this not be the case, however, please contact a member of the staff, monitor, or administrator of the group.
Developer's Note
Yeah, sorry about that.
At the moment I do not have the means to host a forum on this website, so for now there won't be one on here. So in the meantime, if you're a member of our the team, I recommend you go to our Facebook page or our Edmodo page.
I'll try to get into contact with a friend of mine who may know how to handle websites and stuff. Perhaps then it'll be possible.
But until that day, please use the available means on the left.
If they do not apply to you, then unfortunately there isn't much I can provide for you.
Alternatively, you could send an e-mail for me to look over. I'd be happy to comply.
Thank you, and have a good day.
